The US cities

The City-Data.com has statistics and demographics on many of the nation's cities. It can be a useful database depending on what you are looking for.


You have there Fuel calculators, information about the cities of the states, like the state of New York and see the photos and stat about the population of each city.
The data includes the air quality, average household size, house heating fuel, religion statistics, food environment  and many other useful information.


One of the most interesting cities can be Detroit, where the population change has fallen over 25%, and the estimated household income is less than 75% of the average in the state of Michigan. The unemployment rate is higher than 15%, but in 2009 reached the 25%, and in 2000 it was less than 10%.

Airline Route Maps

In the http://www.airlineroutemaps.com you can find a list of maps with the Origin and Destination of several flights. The lists are separated by area, country and then by airline, it may help you if you are interested in doing some work about airlines and the cities that are served. Be careful to see if the map is recent, some new destinations may not be available on the map.

GPS Visualizer

This link will be useful if you want to find the direct distance between two point, or you may want to draw a circle around a single point.

Example:
Calculating the distance between two points. I use google maps to find the Lat. & Lon.
After that the GPS Visualizer can draw a map of a line between London and Paris(Chosen cities), and you can also see the elevation profile between the two points. In this example the red line shows the English Channel.
